Job description: Preferred Care at Home of Champlain Valley, a nationwide senior care company, is seeking qualified caregivers in the Williston area.We have a client dealing with memory care issues that could use a friendly, reliable companion to spend time with and give the family peace of mind that they are safe and being cared for. This client requires 24hr care. Overnight and day shifts are available.We have a variety of part-time or full-time positions available. We also offer weekly pay with direct deposit!Home Health Aid Responsibilities:Help clients with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing and other daily tasksPerform basic health care services for clients including checking vital signs or administering prescription medicationHelp with general light housekeeping, including cooking mealsMake transportation arrangements or provide transportation for clients as neededCollect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family membersObserve and report on each client’s conditionStay up-to-date with home health aide training, policies and proceduresHome Health Aid Requirements:Previous experience as a home health aide preferred but not requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAccess to reliable transportationCurrent CPR (American Heart Association) CertificationMust be able to pass a criminal background check and provide referencesAbility to think and work both independently and with directionMust have exceptional personal hygieneMust be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside mannerKnowledge of basic housekeepingWe are looking for caregivers who are compassionate and reliable. No formal training is required.
