Job description: Our client, a well-established general contractor with a strong pipeline of work is actively looking for a superintendent to join their team!The Superintendent is responsible for:
- Leading and supervising a team of skilled tradespeople, subcontractors, and laborers during the 3rd shift
- Enforcing and maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations to ensure the safety of all team members and store personnel
- Ensuring that all work is completed to the highest quality standards and in accordance with project plans and specifications
- Developing and maintaining a detailed project schedule for the night shift, including daily tasks, milestones, and deadlines
- Maintaining open and effective communication with project stakeholders, including the project manager, store management, and subcontractors
- Identifying and addressing any issues or challenges that may arise during the renovation process, finding practical solutions to keep the project on track
- Monitoring project costs, tracking expenses, and working with the project manager to control expenditures within the established budget
- Keeping accurate records of project progress, daily reports, and any changes or deviations from the original plan
- Collaborating with store management to ensure minimal disruption to store operations and customer experience during the renovation

- Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to a flexible schedule
- Proven experience as a Superintendent for commercial or Supermarket interior renovation projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- OSHA certification and knowledge of safety regulations
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
