Job description: Specimen ProcessorJob DescriptionAs a data entry clerk, you will be responsible for receiving, identifying, labeling, and processing incoming samples. Your duties include inputting data into the computer system, creating labels for samples, and ensuring specimens are properly handled with personal protective equipment (PPE). You will not directly touch open swabs or perform tests on the samples. Your role is crucial in maintaining departmental production goals to ensure consistent hourly specimen flow to the labs. You will also be involved in reviewing, transcribing, and entering demographic and specimen data into the laboratory information system with precision. Additional responsibilities include filing requisition slips, maintaining supplies, and performing cleanup duties to enhance workflow and efficiency.Hard Skills
- High school diploma/GED
- Typing speed of at least 7500 keystrokes per hour with 95% accuracy
- Previous laboratory experience
- Previous overnight experience
Soft Skills
- Ability to handle all specimen types

The role involves working with over 80 people during the night shift to support work volume.
